Working And Living Are Two Different Things, Don’t Blur Them Together!

When you’re at home all the time, people have a way of giving you everything to do, with no regard for your job. It can be very hard indeed to keep your family life separate from your business when you work at home — in fact, this is one of the most common reasons home businesses fail, and their owners come away all too glad to get back to the corporate grindstone. If you don’t want to be driven away from home business, here’s what you need to do to keep your family at bay.

Work Time, Home Time.

Make a schedule for when you’re going to work and when you’re not, and stick to it. This doesn’t have to be inflexible — it’s very silly to only work nine to five every day, for example — but it still really needs to be there. Without a plan, you’re inevitably going to go too far one way or the other, and either work far too much or nowhere near enough. You might find it best to a new plan at the start of each month or week, so that you can still respond to changes in circumstances.

Yes, I know

Protect Your Identity This Holiday Season

With the holiday spending season fast approaching, its crucial that you understand the dangers of identity theft. Though many of the methods thieves use to steal identities are out of our control, there are many measures you can take to protect yourself from the threats identity thieves pose.

Protect Your Credit Card Number From Prying Eyes

When making purchases with your credit or debit card, make sure that only the last 4 digits of your card number are shown on the receipt. The first 12 digits should be unknown, and are usually replaced by Xs. If they arent, by law you are permitted to mark out the first 12 digits on the merchants copy with a pen.

It is especially important that you check your credit card receipt at restaurants. Dont leave the restaurants copy on the table after your meal if all 16 digits are shown. Its best to cross out the first 12 digits and personally hand the receipt to the wait staff. Otherwise, you risk an identity thief walking away with your name, account number, and quite possibly your cards expiration date.

Only Use Your Social Security Number When Absolutely Necessary.

Though it is necessary

Choosing Hockey Sticks For Your Best Game Play

Hockey equipment is required for all players who step onto the ice but some differences exist regarding the hockey equipment utilized by different leagues. Players hockey equipment generally consists of skates, shin pads, gloves, hockey pants, sticks, and helmets. The hockey stick tends to be the most vital, apart from your body protection.

Choosing hockey sticks that suit you best is important. If you choose the wrong sticks you could end up playing badly or even doing yourself an injury. So how do you work out which hockey sticks are right for you? Here are some helpful tips.

Firstly, when standing in your skates, your stick should reach your chin. Some defence based players prefer a longer stick to give them more reach when they’re defending. If you can, buy your sticks a little long and have the shop cut them down. This is far better than having a stick that is too long or too short. Most people tend to find they have to have their stick customized to give them their optimum comfort.

You can work out what length you need by looking closely at the wear of the tape on the bottom of your stick. If

Company CEO Holds Drawing for His Salary

RX Processing Corp.’s CEO Peter Fiorillo is serious about supporting the passage of the Dorgan-Snowe bill that is currently trying to make its way through Congress. He is so serious that he has implemented a campaign that allows citizens to enter into a lottery to win his first year’s salary: 500,000 shares of company stock.

The shares have a market value of around $100,000. By doing this, Fiorillo hopes to draw attention to the grassroots efforts of not only RX Processing Corp. but countless others who are devoted to the legalization of prescription drug importation to the United States.

RX Processing Corp. is a company that utilizes licensed American pharmacies and a licensed pharmacy group from Canada to help Americans obtain prescription drugs from safe and affordable suppliers outside the United States.

Many other countries, including Canada, offer the same medications for a much lower cost to consumers. As for safety, Canadian standards meet or exceed U.S. Food and Drug Administration drug safety requirements, Fiorillo says.

The growing issue of rising U.S. prescription drug costs is causing concern across the country. One of the biggest sectors of the population dramatically affected by this problem is senior citizens.

Stop Fear Now

I’m convinced that fear is one of the worst things in life. Think about all of the negative ways that fear affects your life. Think about all of the decisions you make or do not make because of fear in your life. Or think about the risks that you do not take or the relationships you do not pursue because of fear. You would do well to take a good look at the fears in your life and to attempt to tackle them head first until they are no longer fears.

In my own life, identifying specific fears was the first step for me to getting over my fears. I took a few hours and made a very long list of the things I was afraid of. I included the biggest fears I had all the way down to the smallest, most insignificant fears I had. I would encourage you to take time to do the same thing. It may seem like a strange task, but just think about the freedom you can live in if you learn to overcome your fears.

I was amazed as I wrote at how many things were holding me in fear and affecting my

Learn To Save Money

Living on credit is fashionable. Indulging oneself is fashionable. Saving money isn’t.

This is a pity, as it has much to recommend it. You have more peace in your life. The end on the month is simply a date on the calendar, rather than a countdown to the next pay-cheque. Purchases born of necessity can be made comfortably. Employment becomes a career, rather than a means of survival. You can look your boss in the eye, rather than dreading his gaze.

Why? Because you’ve saved up some money.

Take the cringe-factor out of your life. Erase the dread of the small hours. Put some money in the bank! You may not be able to increase your earnings, but you can decrease your outgoings. This has the same effect as getting a pay-rise; more money for you.

How to save money?

Simple!

Examine what you spend it on.

Then, erase fripperies.

Vices: drinking and smoking are habits that kill you slowly. Save up for your hospital care by giving them up. Your lungs, liver and family will bless you.

Gambling. Gambling is folly. There are only three games the player can use skill to alter the odds even slightly; horse racing,

Doorstep Lenders Receiving Unwanted Interest

Unwanted interest has come from sources including industry regulator, the Competition Commission (CC), following an Office of Fair Trading (OFT) investigation which was in turn sparked by a super-complaint lodged by the National Consumer Council (NCC).

Doorstep loans offer small short-term loans to people who are on low incomes or without access to bank accounts, with repayments being collected weekly or fortnightly by collectors who directly call at the customer’s homes.

Peter Freeman, chairman of the CC, said, “Customers value home credit because it suits their needs very well but the fact is that they are paying too much for it, because of the lack of competitive pressure in the market.”

The regulator found that the lack of competition in the home credit market has meant that customers had, in their opinion, been overcharged by 500m during the past five years.

Peter Freeman believes, “Price competition between the existing lenders is weak, partly because customers seem insensitive to prices, given the greater value they place on factors such as the convenience of the loan and the difficulty in comparing prices between companies.”

Although there are more transparent alternatives to doorstep lenders through such high street companies as My PayDay Loan

The Game Plan For Your Next Tailgate Party

In order to prevent possible food borne illness, you need to have a strategy to keep food safe. Your game plan should include preparing your food for an environment where a stove, a refrigerator, or running water is not readily available. Make sure you pack enough clean utensil for eating and serving the food. You may bring a thermometer along to make sure the food you server is cooked thoroughly. If you serve uncooked meats harmful bacteria can cause serious illness.

Make sure you keep the food hot. Do not eat hot take-out food more than two hours after purchase. It is best to chill the food in a refrigerator before packing for your tailgate party. To keep food like soup, chili, and stew hot, use an insulated container.

Fill the container pre-heated with boiling water, and let it stand for a few minutes. Once you have emptied the preheated food container put in the hot food. Keep the insulated container closed to keep the food hot (140 F or above) for several hours.

Bring perishable food like hamburger meat, sausages, and chicken in an insulated cooler packed with several inches of ice, frozen gel packs. Other perishable cooked food
